Practically everyone has access to the internet these days and a large percentage
of these users will use the internet to search for businesses when they need a service or product.
Your website can immediately tell them your location, your contact details,
what you do, when you are available and anything else you would like potential customers to know.
If you are selling products, an online store can be a boon to your business.
You can increase your sales as well as add convenience for your customers and improve their brand knowledge.
Best of all it's available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Having a website - big or small - is one of the most important marketing investments
you can make.
Yes, you can. There are many programmes available today that allow people with no coding experience to make a website.
Especially if you have a flair for design it is possible to create great looking websites - so what's the problem?
The problem comes down to experience. The actual design is only a small part of making a successful and secure website,
with good websites taking hours of planning and research. A professional website designer and developer will
take the time and care and already have the skills to avoid common mistakes that plague beginners, as well as
having the knowledge to build a website that compliments a business.
It is common for site creation software to create a lot of extraneous code which is not optimised and slows down your website and can create errors.
Often they are not cross-browser friendly either - this means, they may display fine in one browser, but not in another.
It is crucial that cross browser testing is done and testing is done at different resolutions. Just because a website
looks fine on your computer does not mean much at all.
Images need to be optimised for the web so that they are the smallest possible file size (whilst not losing quality).
A graphic or photo might look good, but if it takes too long for the graphic to open, the user will likely move on to another website.
SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is extremely important! You need tags and text incorporated into your website to
enable your website to be indexed (found and searched) by search engines so that your website ranks well.
Just having a website online does not mean anything unless it is coded well, has good copy (text) and is friendly to
search engines.
Having the skills to get it right the first time, can save you months of trial and error before any benefit is noticeable.
So whilst it is true anyone can make a website, not everyone can make a professional, attractive website that converts visitors into customers.
This is where your free consultation comes in.
Each business is different and what is right for one business is not suitable for another.
I will discuss options with you and listen to what you want the website to do for your business.
You may want to read through my FAQ as well, as this has answers to many common questions.
STARTING SMALL?
Want to start small and see how that goes initially?
If this is the case, I would suggest the Starter Package which is a one page brochure type website
that tells people a little bit about your business and has contact details and anything other information
you would like to include.
LARGER SITE?
Perhaps you are looking for a more comprehensive website with more information. You might prefer the
Bronze Package (up to 5 pages)
or the Silver Package (up to 10 pages).
STARTING A NEW BUSINESS?
If you are starting out with a brand new business, you may want to take advantage of one of my
Plus Packages. This way, you can get your website, your logo, business cards and any other
stationery all done at the same time and all with a consistent look.
